The UQ School of Medicine Ochsner Clinical School represents a dynamic partnership between two highly ranked and regarded institutions. Both UQ and Ochsner are non-profit organizations which emphasize patient care and making a difference to global health outcomes. Our students receive an international education with outcomes on par with US medical schools and perform equally well in the US residency match.  Our graduates will be recognized for their social accountability, critical scientific thinking and drive to be global leaders in health care.

Admitted US students study two years of basic sciences in Brisbane, Australia at The University of Queensland. They then spend two years in and around New Orleans, Louisiana at Ochsner Health System, completing their core and elective clinical rotations. Students graduate with an MD degree granted by the The University of Queensland and are eligible for ECFMG certification, to take the USMLEs, for the NRMP match, and to practice medicine in all 50 states of the US.
