Application Process

The University of Queensland School of Medicine Ochsner Clinical School program has rolling admissions. Seats are offered on a first-come, first-served basis to students who meet the requirements for admission. We recommend that interested students submit their applications as early as possible.

To avoid blocked emails and in order to ensure your application process is handled with confidentiality over email, please add and to your approved list of emails.

You will receive an email receipt from when our office receives ANY document on your behalf. If you do not receive this notification within a week of the the document being sent, please contact our office. When your application is complete, it will be sent to Brisbane for assessment.

Requirements for Admission

U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Residency is required.

Minimum MCAT score of 24 (8, 8, 8), taken in one test sitting.

A "B" average in a bachelor’s or more advanced degree, earned no more than 10 years before the start of classes (from January 2005 on).

1. Application Form
This downloadable application is interactive. Your computer may or may not be able to save a partially or fully completed copy, so please check the information and make a copy for your records. Please download the form, enter the information requested, print, hand-sign and mail it to our office. We do not accept AMCAS applications.

We CANNOT accept faxed or emailed applications. When printing, please select “Fit to printable area” to ensure the pages fit on each sheet completely.

2. MCAT Score Report
Send us your MCAT score report, including the verification number and AAMC ID number, either in pdf format via email to:, or by mail to our office. To find out when the next MCAT test will be given, click here.

3. Official Transcripts
Transcripts from your degree-granting institution, as well as transcripts from transfer credit schools and post-bacc courses are required. Request that your official transcripts be mailed directly from your college or university to our office. We also accept transcripts sent electronically by the credit-granting institution and from Interfolio. Please direct electronic documents to We cannot accept photocopied or student-released transcripts.

4. Resume
Although not required, you are encouraged to submit your Resume/CV.

5. Recommendations
Recommendations are not required. If you have recommendations, please have them sent to our office.

6. Fee
There is no application fee.

7. Receipt of Documents
We will send you an e-mail acknowledging each document’s receipt in our office. When your application is complete, it will be sent to Brisbane for assessment. Please add to your approved sender list to avoid these important e-mails to be sent to junk.

8. Admissions Decisions
Decisions are made approximately 8 weeks after application submission. Applicants will receive an email notifying them of the admissions decision.

9. Conditional Offers
Students who have not yet completed their Bachelor’s degree when applying, and whose applications are reviewed favorably, will be given a conditional offer of admission pending successful completion of the Bachelor’s degree.

Tuition and Fees

Tuition for the Class of 2015: $58,400 USD per year.
Tuition deposit: $3,000 USD (applied against first semester tuition).
