The University of Queensland School of Medicine Ochsner Clinical School program has rolling admissions. Seats are offered on a first-come, first-served basis to students who meet the requirements for admission. We recommend that interested students submit their applications as early as possible.

When our office receives ANY document on your behalf you will receive an email receipt from [email protected] If you do not receive this notification within a week of the document being sent, please contact our office. When all required application documents have been received and deemed to have met the minimum standards for that entry year, you will be invited for an interview.
Applications are processed in the order they are received.
Once your application is complete (see Requirements below), the timeline is generally as follows:
• Decision on Offer (6-8 weeks)
• Accept Offer (42 days before offer expires)
• Receive Confirmation of Enrollment (4-6 weeks from date of accepting your Offer)
Requirements for Admission
U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Residency is required.

For MCAT tests taken between January 2013 and February 2015, the minimum MCAT score for 2016 entry is a 26 with no lower than an 8 in any one section. The redesigned MCAT exam will be administered after April 2015 and has a new scoring system. When information about the minimum score eligible for entry for the new MCAT is available, it will be posted on our website.
A "B" average in a bachelor’s or more advanced degree, earned no more than 10 years before the start of classes (from January 2006 on for February 2016 entry).
1. Application Form
This downloadable application is interactive. Your computer may or may not be able to save a partially or fully completed copy, so please check the information and make a copy for your records. Please download the form, enter the information requested, print, hand-sign and mail it to our office. We do not accept AMCAS applications.
We CANNOT accept faxed or emailed applications. When printing, please select “Fit to printable area” to ensure the pages fit on each sheet completely.

3. MCAT Score Report
Send us your MCAT score report, including the verification number and AAMC ID number, either in pdf format via email to: [email protected], or by mail to our office. To find out when the next MCAT test will be given, click here.
4. Official Transcripts
Transcripts from your degree-granting institution, as well as transcripts from transfer credit schools and post-bacc courses are required. Request that your official transcripts be mailed directly from your college or university to our office. We also accept transcripts sent electronically by the credit-granting institution and from Interfolio. Please direct electronic documents to [email protected]. We cannot accept photocopied or student-released transcripts.
Although not required, you are encouraged to submit your Resume/CV.
Recommendations are not required. If you have recommendations, please have them sent to our office.
There is no application fee.
8. Receipt of Documents
We will send you an e-mail acknowledging each document’s receipt in our office. When your application is complete, it will be sent to Brisbane for assessment. Please add [email protected] to your approved sender list to avoid these important e-mails to be sent to junk.
When all required documents have been received and deemed to have met the minimum standards for that entry year, the student will be invited for an interview, either in New Orleans at the UQ Ochsner Clinical School campus or via Skype. Detailed information about the interviews will be provided when students are invited. Interviews will be conducted as long as seats are available for the upcoming application cycle.
10. Admissions Decisions
Decisions are made approximately 8 weeks after application submission. Applicants will receive an email notifying them of the admissions decision.
11. Conditional Offers
Students who have not yet completed their Bachelor’s degree when applying, and whose applications are reviewed favorably, will be given a conditional offer of admission pending successful completion of the Bachelor’s degree.

Tuition and Fees
Tuition for the Class of 2016: $64,240 USD per year.
Tuition deposit: $3,000 USD (applied against first semester tuition).
