How to Apply

We are now accepting applications for the 2019 Cohort.

The University of Queensland Ochsner Clinical School program has rolling admissions. We recommend that interested students submit their applications as early as possible.

All applications for the UQ Ochsner program are handled by MedEdPath, the US representative of The University of Queensland Medical School.

  • There is no application fee for UQ Ochsner applicants. If you send a check with your application, it will be shredded.
  • There is only one start date per year, February .
  • To avoid blocked emails and in order to ensure the application process is handled with confidentiality over email, please add mededpath.org and [email protected] to your approved list of emails.
  • To avoid missed emails let us know your preferred email address for correspondence (an address that you check regularly) as you will be receiving important messages from us.
  • When our office receives ANY document on your behalf an email receipt from [email protected] will be sent to the email address we have on file for you. If you do not receive this notification within a week of the document being sent, please contact our office.
  • If you have not taken your MCAT, you may start your application by submitting your signed application forms and transcripts directly to MedEdPath. Email your MCAT Score Report to [email protected] once released to complete your application.

The University of Queensland recommends you take Anatomy, Biochemistry and Physiology courses prior to enrollment.

Application Process
STEP 1: SUBMIT ALL REQUIRED APPLICATION DOCUMENTS

These must include:

  • Copy of your US Passport or US Permanent Resident CardIf you were born in a country other than the United States
  • Proof of Name ChangeIf you changed your name after a marriage or divorce. A copy of your US Passport will also be required to confirm you current order of names.
STEP 2: INTERVIEW

Interviews are conducted beginning in February 2018 until the class is filled. Space is limited. Interviews are held at Ochsner Clinical School in New Orleans, LA. You may opt to attend your interview in-person or via Skype.

Once your application is deemed to meet the minimum standards for interview eligibility, you will be invited to interview via our scheduling system Interview Broker.

STEP 3: APPLICATIONS SUBMITTED TO UNIVERSITY OF QUEENSLAND

You will receive an email from [email protected] with the outcome of your interview, typically within 5 business days of your interview. We are unable to share details pertaining to your interview experience and can only notify you of whether you have passed or failed.

Applications with passed interview outcomes will be submitted to UQ for progression through the decision-making process.

The decision-making process at UQ can take up to 6 weeks. We will contact you by email once a decision on your application has been reached.
