Application Process

The University of Queensland School of Medicine program has rolling admissions. Seats are offered on a first-come, first-served basis to students who meet the requirements for admission. We recommend that interested students submit their applications as early as possible.

To avoid blocked emails and in order to ensure your application process is handled with confidentiality over email, please add and [email protected] to your approved list of emails.

You will receive an email receipt from
[email protected] when our office receives ANY document on your behalf. If you do not receive this notification within a week of the the document being sent, please contact our office. When your application is complete, it will be sent to Brisbane for assessment.


Application Timeline

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. There is no deadline to apply. However, we anticipate this year's cohort to fill earlier than years prior, so we highly suggest you submit all required documents as soon as possible.

The timeline is generally as follows:
• Decision on Offer (6-8 weeks from date of completing your application)
• Accept Offer (42 days before offer expires)
• Receive Confirmation of Enrolment (4-6 weeks from date of accepting your Offer)


Requirements for Admission

Minimum MCAT score of 26 (minimum of 8 in each subsection), taken in one test sitting for application to be reviewed.

Minimum MCAT 2015+ cumulative score of 499, with no minimum requirement in any one section for application to be reviewed

These minimums do not guarantee admission into the program.

A "B" average in a bachelor’s or more advanced degree, earned no more than 10 years before the start of classes (from January 2007 on.)

1. Application Form
This downloadable application is interactive. Your computer may or may not be able to save a partially or fully completed copy so please check the information and make a copy for your records. Please download the form, enter the information requested, print, hand-sign and mail it to our office. We do not accept AMCAS applications. We CANNOT accept faxed or emailed applications. When printing, please select “Fit to printable area” to ensure the pages fit on each sheet completely.

3. MCAT Score Report or GAMSAT result slip
Send us your MCAT Score Report, including the Verification Code and AAMC ID number or your GAMSAT result slip, including Candidate number, either in pdf format via email to: [email protected], or by mail to our office. 4. Official Transcripts
Transcripts from your degree-granting institution, as well as transcripts from transfer credit schools and post-bacc courses are required. Request that your official transcripts be mailed directly from your college or university to our office. We also accept transcripts sent electronically by the credit-granting institution and from Interfolio. Please direct electronic documents to [email protected]. We cannot accept photocopied or student-released transcripts.

5. Resume
Although not required, you are encouraged to submit your Resume/CV.

6. Recommendations
Recommendations are not required. If you have recommendations, please have them sent to our office.

7. Fee
There is no application fee.

8. Receipt of Documents
We will send you an e-mail acknowledging each document’s receipt in our office. When your application is complete, it will be sent to Brisbane for assessment. Please add [email protected] to your approved sender list to avoid these important e-mails to be sent to junk.

9. Admissions Decisions
Decisions are made approximately 8 weeks after application submission. Applicants will receive an email notifying them of the admissions decision.

10. Conditional Offers
Students who have not yet completed their Bachelor’s degree when applying, and whose applications are reviewed favorably, will be given a conditional offer of admission pending successful completion of the Bachelor’s degree.

Tuition and Fees

Tuition for the Class of 2017: AUD $69,120.
